Aruba Hotels

I know there are a million posts about Aruba but I need one place I can look at it. PLEASE HELP. FH and I have decided to honeymoon in Aruba rather than Greece. Now, we are between the Marriot, Hyatt and Raddison. Heard great things about each but I just want to make the rgiht choice. Can you aruba specialists recommend one over the other. (ie Jennbaby)

FH and I are big on nice rooms, balcony and bathrooms (maybe a jacuzzi or at least a big tub) and nice grounds.

I just need to decide already!!

THANKS

Re: Aruba Hotels

I think you should skip the Marriot. When we were there last June it was under construciton and I would have been really mad if I had a room that faced the huge construction site. I recently read somewhere that the consturction is still going on. The Hyatt and Radison are both really nice!! The hyatt has a great pool area, it's got caves, swim up bar, slides, etc. We snuck in one day!

Hi!
Good Honeymoon choice
I have stayed at the Radisson & we LOVED it!! I have never stayed at the Hyatt but my MOH did & said she didn't care for it, do see the pool there at night though!
The Marriott seems nice but my vote would be for the Radisson. The Balconies are really nice, as are the rooms, only I don't know of any hotels with big tubs/jacuzzis though, but you can ask a travel agent for that.
We are staying at the Wyndham this May because we got a great price and from what I seen while there and online, they also have great views & balconies.
Ask Ellen from In and Out Travel about the tubs.
Good Luck

Re: Aruba Hotels

I just called my MOH and she said Hyatt's balconies are smaller than Marriott's and although the Hyatt is nice, she liked Marriott better (she never stayed at Radisson).

Re: Aruba Hotels

We stayed at the Wyndham went we went to Aruba in May. Definately a nice hotel. All the rooms have balconies and nice views. However, we said if we ever went back we would stay at the Hyatt, their pool area and lobby were really nice.

Re: Aruba Hotels

Such mixed reviews. I wish there was just one consensus. Overall I am getting that the location of the Marriot is not that great. The Hyatt's pool and grounds are great but rooms are OK and the Radisson people have only 'heard' things about.

Can I call a travel agent and ask them that if I am not using them to book the trip? That seems a bit out of line to me.

Nooo I stayed at the Radisson and LOVED it, I'd highly recommend it for the rooms, balconies, beach, grounds, casino etc

Re: Aruba Hotels

You can ask Ellen if any rooms have jacuzzis. It's not out of line she is really nice & likes to help.

Stayed in the Marriot and absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect...the rooms, grounds, etc. It is at the end of the strip but is fun to walk up and down the beach at night while visiting the other hotels.

Re: Aruba Hotels

You're right Jennbaby!! You did come out strong for the Radisson. That goes a long way because you are the 'aruba expert'!!

I posted on the vendor board. Maybe Ellen will answer me.

Basically, I am leaning toward Hyatt and Radisson right now. UGH

Re: Aruba Hotels

We booked the Wyndham too for October! I belive the difference about them and the Hyatt was that the Hyatt doesnt do ALL-Inclusive packages...Im not positive on that...but we were able to do an all-inclusive with the Wyndham (if that is a question for you)

Re: Aruba Hotels

honestly?

I think you really can't go wrong with the top 3 hotels: Hyatt, Mariott, Radisson.....however, if a balcony is what you want, you should rule out the Hyatt...beautiful pools/grounds etc, but only ledges..not balconies...we had dinner there..which was really good and romantic.

I did feel the marriot was a bit far down, but nothing is 'far away'...you can walk from the first to the last hotel fairly easily.....

good luck!

Radisson Radisson Radisson

Hyatt is pretty, don't know what the rooms look like, but the balcony is only a step out. Radisson rooms are very large, and had big balconies. Ask for the Aruba Tower, they have the ocean/pool views.

LOVED the Radisson for our Honeymoon.

Re: Aruba Hotels

THANKS YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE...............WE DECIDED ON THE RADISSON!!! We are requesting a room with 2 balconies and a jacuzzi tub!! I know they have that in Curuscao tower. Is any tower far better than another?
