I just honeymooned in Aruba and stayed at the Wyndham. We went over to see the Hyatt and hung out there a couple of nights. The Hyatt is beautiful! Probably the nicest hotel there but we met a couple who said it was expensive and they had spent alot to eat and drink there for the week. But if you can afford it- it is nice. The pools are so nice.

We had a great time at the Wyndham. It was all inclusive so there was alot of honeymooners there. At first that is kind of annoying but we had so much fun hanging out at night meeting new people. The pool is really nice, food was pretty good, beach was great and the rooms were okay too.

I am looking into going to Aruba also... from what I've heard, the regular rooms at the Hyatt have very small balconies (not sure about the suites). Personally, I love having a balcony overlooking the beach-to eat breakfast on, or just sit and relax- so that rules out the Hyatt (unless the suites have bigger balconies).

My friend satyed at the Marriott, which she and her hubby absolutely loved. She told me they met some people who were honeymooning at the Hyatt... and they were noit happy with the room size and balcony. But I think the Hyatt has the nicest grounds...

So basically, it all depends on you priorities and what you are looking for... if you want the awesome pool and lobbies, etc., Hyatt has it.

Re: ARUBA Hyatt Regency

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE HYATT. we honeymooned there for one week. this hotel in my opinion is the best. I visited othe close hotels nearby i wasn't too impressed with the radisson as far as its looks and pools. the staff and service at the Hyatt was unbelievable so curteous, the Hyatt pools were incredible so clean and the design with the waterfalls and bar on the side really nice. it is expensive we had one of the regency club rooms on the 9th floor it was $475per night - that includes tax and stuff. We had continietal breakfast, appetizers every night between 5-7pm and cordials. the room was really nice. it is a step out balcony, every morning we stepped out together and enjoyed the beautiful view. we didn't need the balcony to be a full balcony - not at all. an upgrade to a regency club room would be the suite and it is over $1000 a night - that was shocking we couldn't afford that. the restaurants are really good there too. Japengo restaurant has the best sushi if you like that. The staff again was great the grounds are absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend that hotel. They just sent us a letter that if we decide to return for our first anniversary they will have the first night on them. I will definetly go back and stay there. I don't think I would do one of the regency club rooms again it was pretty expensive but so is a standard room I think they are going around $275 a night. The place is just amazing! Definetely 'the place' to stay for your honeymoon.
