Aruba Mini Review
Aruba 8/22-9/3
Okay so this is a little mini review for you girls
I arrived in Aruba in the afternoon and from touch down to airport arrival it was less than a hr
We stayed at the Holiday Inn in an Ocean View King Size bed room all inclusive
We love it there it’s the last hotel on the main strip it has 3 different sections of buildings, the food was good and the drinks were great. There is a casino in the hotel, pool and beach right there. To eat there is a buffet for breakfast and then lunch you can go to either a place that is sit down overlooking the beach open air, or back to corals for the buffet and for dinner you can go to either of those or the Italian rest but for seabreeze or the Italian you must make a reservation.
We took the local buses around its $2.60 american money for 2 people per way
Or they have little like mini vans that pick u up like the bus that’s $2.50 american money for 2 people per way.
We went into town which is very safe, to go shopping but it was so hot we left after being there for like an hr and went back to the pool one day, then we went to a flea market downtown for souvenirs its only open sat & sun. To go into town takes like maybe 25 mins. On Sundays most places are closed so be aware.
We went to dinner at Amsterdam Beach Manor at Passions which is on the beach it was so beautiful. We sat right by the water our toes in the sand watched the sunset. The food was so good and they even brought us a dessert with sparklers on the house. DEF RECOMMEND
We did a trash the dress photoshoot with a photographer ( waiting for pics ) so can’t say too much yet
We went on a sunset sailboat cruise on the Mi Dushi ( which means my sweetheart ) it was $68 and you have an open board while on the boat they serve this special blue drink they call liquid viagra it is so yummy
We went to some reg places while there to eat like TGIF, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts,
We went to Sr Frogs one night I had 2 yards of drinks they make them very strong so beware, I love that place the staff is so fun after 11 they don’t serve food anymore and no under 21
We went to an Italian restaurant named Gianni’s def not worth it over priced food average and made me sick the next day
We rented a car one day to do our own tours rather than a guided one, The car was $100 for the day but let me tell you it was the funiest scariest day eve. We went to by where natural pool is and the drive is very tough a few times we thought we would flip over or drive off a cliff. The natural pool is nice but a long walk down. We saw goats, dogs, cats, lizards, rabbits all on our drive.
We Went on a party cruise called Tattoo it was great its $100 you get dinner and you buy drinks they are 1,2,3 dollars each drink and you need to buy tokens before hand. But the crew is great they play games and get you dancing. They have dancers on the boat who do routines so funny, then at the end you can go down the slide into the ocean or the rope swing. Def a great night
We went to the Buccanneer for dinner it’s a seafood place that has your own fishtank at each booth pretty cool the food was good. But its kinda pricey
WE got a couples massage at our hotel that was $190
While we were there the last night I went and got a tattoo at Tonys Tattoo I always wanted one and figured now was a good time.
If you need to use the phone or computer there is a internet café across from the holiday inn in the mall it’s 60 mins for $6 and .50 per minute phone call
People are so friendly there this is my 3rd time and I cant wait to go back.
