Aruba or St. Lucia?

Aruba or St. Lucia?

My fiance and I have narrowed down our honeymoon options to Aruba and St. Lucia. Can anyone recommend resorts in either?

We're not big drinkers, so it doesn't necessarily need to be 'all-inclusive,' and we're not really bar/club people so it's okay if there's not a lot of nightlife. We're really looking for a nice, low-key place with a beach that's not going to cost us an arm and a leg. I'm getting married in October 2009.

Aruba is VERY expensive. We're not into clubs and didn't drink much when we were there. Food alone is so expensive. We had crappy dinners at crappy restaurants that came to $100 (with no alcohol). Everything there is expensive.

I've heard a lot better things about St. Lucia.

We went to St. Lucia and stayed at the Sandals Regency. We LOVED it!!! We are not big drinkers but I was loving the frozen mixed drinks. There are 3 Sandals resorts you can go to and a ton of extra activities.
We stayed by the pool and beach for a week and loved every minute.

we stayed at the Regency as well! love love LOVED it.... definetly had the biggest variety when it came to the restaurants & such.. we hopped over to the other hotels for a day too which was fun I've heard nice things about another hotel/resort in st. lucia that is not all-inclusive, but let me tell u - when u do all-inclusive - once u're there it's FABULOUS & u will be so glad u did it! u dont have to have a budget while ur there at ALL the only thing we spent money on was souveniers! we ate & drank whatever we wanted, and pretty much did whatever we wanted...the resort was beautiful..and it was just nice not to worry about spending :) throw me some FM if u'd like additional info..and if u end up booking let me know! i'll give ya the rundown ps; i have heard great things about aruba...the Divi resorts inparticular. good luck!
