I was going to suggest that one too! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there!! Don't do the Tamajarin (spelling??) its right next door and you can use that whole resort, but I think its more family - style because its less expensive. But take advantage of their water sports and restaurants. HTH

You're my date twin! And I wanted to book Jericho Terrace b/c it's so beautiful!
We're going to Aruba 8/19 to 8/29......my FH's buddies at work have all said to book the Hyatt, some stayed at other hotels and were at the Hyatt every night.

I second the Hyatt because it is the best hotel on the 'strip' there...but I don't know if thye offer an all-inlcusive and I am pretty sure they allow kids

FH and I are staying at Bucuti. It just underwent renovations and looks absolutely beautiful. It isn't a family resort and I believe they point blank tell people not to bring children. That is the main reason we chose it. I can't wait.

They sell really inexpensive travel books on Aruba that helped. And tripadvisor.com is also helpful!

Re: ARUBA RESORTS RECOMMENDATIONS?

We did all inclusive in Aruba and it was a waste for us b/c we ended up eating out at the awesome restaurants on the island about 3 or 4 of the nights anyway. We stayed at the Wyndham and if you wanted the high end food on the menu (lobster, filet mignon) they charged extra.

The Bucuti has the Tara Suites, which don't have any children. However, I don't believe they offer an all inclusive package. I don't suggest an all inclusive for Aruba. There are so many wonderful and romantic restaurants on the island.

Re: ARUBA RESORTS RECOMMENDATIONS?

we're going for our honeymoon in july...and have done so much research!!! our travel agent told us that many people prefer not to do the all inclusive in aruba because there are just sooo many romantic restaurant so visit on the island itself and they are amazing (my sister and her husband just got back from there and many others have said the same thing)...the only thing with not going all inclusive is that it can be a bit pricey. we decided to go without the all inclusive because we figured it's our honeymoon and what better time to treat ourselves!!!!!!!

I agree with not having all-inclusive. I stayed at the Bucuti Beach Resort (Tara Suite). That is where I got engaged! Love the hotel... mostly couples on their honeymoon. The week I was there I saw 1 kid. The beach is sooooooooooooooo beautiful. The only bad thing about the hotel is the restaurant. The food is not that great! When we were there, we rented a car and had no problem traveling to other hotels or restaurants for dinner.

make that another one!!!

bucuti - plain room (superior) we were on the beach or out all day... and it offers breakfast and we had that included... so we really were ok most of the day.. we always got happy hr snacks and drinks to hold us over...

the food is SOOOO good in aruba too and we loved each resturant we went to... we also stayed at the bucuti.. best beach and soo quite and no kids...

divi is right next to it - very nice too.. but if your budget allows - i wouldnt do the all inclusive.. FM me if you need any info..

Re: ARUBA RESORTS RECOMMENDATIONS?

I work in the travel industry (with a wholesaler not a travel agent) anyway I would totally go to Occidental. It has been recently renovated and Occidental is a well known and well established hotel chain. There is a Riu opening later this year in Aruba as well - that place looks amazing and is all inclusive...
