Aruba vs. St. Lucia

FH and I (ok mostly me lol) are going back and forth between doing the all-inclusive Sandals Grande St. Lucia or possibly the Hyatt in Aruba (which we heard was better than doing an all-inclusive there).

Besides the obvious benefit of an all-inclusive resort, which would you recommend for our HM and why??

I've never been to St. Lucia, but I have been to Aruba and it's beautiful. We went in September and the weather was spectacular.

We stayed 6 nights at the Grande in St. Lucia and loved every single minute of it... I'd go back to St.Lucia in a heart beat!

The two islands are so vastly different... Aruba is a desert Island, so a bit of a different feel to it... St Lucia is lush, tropical and full fo mountains.

Don't think you can really go wront with either... but St. Lucia gets my vote!

I have been to both and i personally like Aruba better. I didn't feel bored in Aruba, they have a great night life (if you want to go out of course).

St.Lucia is really pretty but I didn't think it was a place where you can just go out on the town(and I am west Indian).

I have been to both places, we went to St. Lucia a couple months before our wedding and then went to Aruba for our honeymoon. We really did not care for St. Lucia, and we absolutely loved Aruba.

A lot depends on the weather and time of year, because the weather is almost always beautiful in Aruba but during the rainier season (we went in early June) it is awful, it rained almost the whole time we were there. My cousin went in March/April and liked St. Lucia, so you might get lucky.

We stayed at the Hyatt in Aruba and it was amazing, we are dying to go back again. I love it there! I really recommend going there over St. Lucia having experienced both places.
