ASHLEY UPDATE OF THE DAY!!

She got taken off the respirator!!!

She is awake, alert and saying she is bored!!! She is BACK!!!!

I am sooo happy!!!

We were concerned about her body rejecting the liver. The doctor said that if that happens it just means that the liver is inflammed and her medication will be adjusted. That is not a life threatening issue....whew!! That is a major relief!!!

Now the goal for tomorrow (actually the next week or so) is to get her off the dialysis. The doctor says that he feels the kidneys will bounce back especially because they were healthy kidneys. But it can take a few weeks.

So if she leaves the hospital and is still on dialysis, she won't be at the wedding.

If she leaves the hospital and is NOT on dialysis, she should be able to ATTEND the wedding!

That's great news! Sometimes it's difficult to get them off respirators! I'm so happy for you all!

Sounds like her recovery is moving along, so happy to hear about this, congrats to her, hope she keeps taking great strides and is able to go to your wedding, still sending your way!!!!!!!!!
