Hello ladies, How involved are your BM and MOH in selecting dresses? Are you asking everyone their opinion?I have gone shopping my MOH and we found nice dresses. I originally was going to let people do the same color and fabric but pick their own dress. Now I think I am just going to pick.

I found one that I love. I am having the girls try it on and if they look good then we get it, if they look terrible or someone absolutely can't stand it then time to find a new one. I don't want to stress myself out over bm dresses.

I originall was going to make sure everyone LOVED it.. then the one I originally loves made a BM that is a size 4 look silly with a stomach!! I decided as loong as all the BM are comfortable in it (like they don't feel like a complete *A*S*S in the dress then thats good enough) Luckily the dress I picked out everyoneeee loves. One BM didn't like the color but o well 7 outa 8 aints bad- And its my cousin shannon whos my BF so o well lol

I found a dress online that I loved so I found a store that carried the line and brought two of my bm's to try it on, when they decided that they liked it I told the other bm's that was the dress. I'm having my moh pick out her dress as long as it's the same designer, fabric, and color as the other girl's.

I'm going with my MOH and maybe one other BM...I'm giving my MOH the option to pick her own style same color or where what the girls are wearing...I figure btwn me and them 2 we can make a decision and then i'll just email the girls what the dress wil be and have them order....I feel too many hands in the pot cause chaos...Just use good judgement and think about something that everyone will feel comfortable in

i knew which DM dress i was using before i was even engaged... but i did send it to everyone even though i knew they would all like it...
they are the ones that have to wear it... it would be weird to pick something no one liked

I have been looking on-line and in magazines for dresses I like. I will probably bring a few of my BM's and my MOH to look and try on dresses and then decide because I want everyone to feel comfortable in the dress. But the dress has to be in the color I chose

i am doing similar to what you said you originally wanted, same color same fabric but i've also picked out about 6 or 7 dresses (every girl will wear a different) only have 5 bms and they can choose to an extent, i pretty much have laid out which dress i want each of them to wear, and I'm basically going to confirm they look good in it and thats that!

Go for what you want. I chose the dresses but I let my sister/MOH chose the small details. For example I chose the dress she chose wether she wanted the sash in the back of tied in a bow in the front.

Since I am only have a MOH and no BM I am letting her pick the dress.. I picked the color and said that I want it long.
I was in a bridal party where the bride wanted everyone to pick a different dress and it was pretty bad.. no one could decide and some of the girls fought over particular styles.. so the bride made an executive decision and said everyone wears the same dress.. that worked a lot better

same here! I showed each one the picture of what it will look like, and they all fell in love with it! It's just a matter of trying it on, and seeing how the real deal looks on each shape and size.

I asked mine...we basically put together a big list of choices and had everyone pick their favorites until we all agreed on one. Theyre all OOT and it took about 50 emails total. lol. I only have 3 girls though, I could see that being impossible if you have way more. And, if this first pick doesnt end up working out I may rethink the strategy for the next try. HTH, lol.

i went myself and picked out a few dresses, i brought 3 of the girls back to try them on and get some feedback....they ended up picking the one i liked neway. but i only brougtht 3 out of the 9, too many opinions is not good

I only have 4 girls my MOH sister and 3 BM's FSIL, and my two cousins we are all going together and we will all decide together and if they want and find a dress they like in the same desinger but diffrent styles so be it I know I wouldnt want to be uncomfortable all day so i wouldnt make them be torchered in a dress they werent comfortable in.

i am bring my moh and best freind to try on a bunch and we are going to limit it to 5 and then bring the rest of them and vote.... i think its diplomatic and i want the girls to be comfotable in what they r wearing because if they arent they are not going to have fun ( plus i will never hear the end of it)

I sent my girls a link to a bunch of dresses online and asked them which style numbers they liked (regardless of color/silhouette and price)... i compared their choices and they all had about 5 dresses that overlapped so we're going to try on those five :)
If all else fails I just want them to be happy and have the same color/fabric and length, so if they want short, that's fine - if one wants strapless and one wants a halter that's cute, this will be the one thing i dont turn into a zilla over

You should pick the style YOU want! Believe me I had major drama (only from one person) because I let them pick it at first and then I changed my mind (due to a certain reason I don't feel like getting into right now). You'll make it much easier on yourself if you do.
