Is it okay to ask family to be bridesmaids when they are all together, or should they be asked individually when I am alone with them?? I am planning on buying the 'Will you be my bridesmaid?' cookies and was thinking of putting them in a little bag and giving them out to family members who I'm asking to be bridesmaids at an upcoming family get together (there are others that I plan to ask separately though because they aren't family). So I was thinking of giving them each their little bag and then they would open them at the same time and see the cookie asking them to be a bridesmaid. Is this okay?? Or do you think I should ask them individually???
eta: There wouldn't be extra girls that wouldn't be asked at the get together. All of the girls at the event would be asked to be a bridesmaid.
TIA!!!!!

Ask individually, just because you don't want to hurt anyones feelings by not including them.

Thanks! I just wanted to clarify though that all of the girls that I would be asking would be at the event. There wouldn't be any extra girls that I would not be asking there (it's just a small family get together).

ohok than I think you should go for it!
I have a really large family with lots of girl cousins and I only am having the older ones in the bridal party (If I included everyone I'd have like 40 ppl lol) so if I asked at a function all the little girls would have been upset they weren't included - that's what I was thinking of when you said this.

I think that is fine.. as long as everyone is being asked, I don't see why that isn't a good idea. It'll be nice having all of them together!

Re: Asking Bridesmaids
do it however- it can be as formal or as laid back as you want.
it really depends on your relationship with the girls.
i sent one friend a text- which is our normal convo routine
another girl was a phone call- cause we are hardly ever in the same part of NY
and two others (family members) in a casual conversation
your idea is cute- have fun with it :)

Re: Asking Bridesmaids
My 2 cousins are BMs and I asked them together while we were out at my Grandma's birthday dinner. I just pulled them both aside and asked them if they would like to be BMs and they were so excited they couldn't stop talking about what kind of dresses they should wear LOL.
