Hey girls! Just finished painting my champagne flutes for the bridesmaids. I'm going to get a mini bottle of champagne to put with each and a little poem I found online to ask them.
How did you girls ask the bridesmaids to be in the wedding? And how big are your bridal parties?

That's such a cute idea! I just had cards made up on zazzle for each of the girls. They were all so excited to get them. I have 2 maids of honor, 4 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, no ring bearer, and FH has 2 best men and so far 2 groomsmen

I'll have to take some pictures and post them once i get it all together..the glasses are done i just need to pick up the champagne..its been so delayed because of christmas but I'll take a picture when it's all together. I got glasses from Christmas tree shop that had a purple design on it. I got a purple paint pen and on the base of the glass wrote bridesmaid and the date and i tied a ribbon on the stem. The paint pen made it really easy to do!

Post pics! I don't know if I'm going to be officially asking my BMs. I have two sisters and so does FH, and then I will be also having my best friend from childhood and my best friend from college. I think it's just assumed at this point. Do you think I should do something cute to ask them? Any ideas? They are such a wide range of ages-- FH's sister is only 17, and my oldest sister is 40!!!

I kept it simple and did personalized cards. I think you should at least ask them or let them be aware. FH's sister and I aren't really close but I thought it would be a nice gesture to ask her anyways. She wasn't expecting me to ask her, even though I thought it was kind of assumed.

I just asked them individually in person. I didn't give them anything fancy. I didn't know we were supposed too! LOL

But it is something alot of brides do now....I just got funny card, I have heard of brides giving expensive gifts.....I can't afford 2 sets of gifts sorry ladies, it's ok though I know they understand!

I didn't do anything fancy either - I asked them all in person. One of my MOH's (I have 2) I wrote a little note in a bday card asking her. Looking back I was so excited and I wish I would have done something a little more special.

I found this on Pinterest....I got ring pops and put them in a small box and wrote the question 'Now it's my turn to pop the question'..they loved it! For my maid of honor I bought a 'how to be a maid of honor' book and attached a little poem I found to it

I had tote bags done on etsy with my girls names and titles on them and give them each individual poems. Their reactions were priceless and I wouldn't change anything about the way I asked them. I know people complain and say why does it have to be something special and spend money but it was so worth it. They were so excited and it was a great moment =) FH bought beer glasses with his guys names and titles on them as well as a card he will attach to a cigar that says 'Will you be me Groomsman?' It's cheesy but so cute! You can see pics of my girls things in my album and I'll upload FH's when they come in =)

Yes! I got the cardstock at staples (they were actually printable invitations) and found the poems googling them. I wanted something specific for each girl (my BFF is my MOH, my FSIL, and my two sisters) and I changed the poems a bit to make it more personal =)

I have 6 girls and 1 MOH....I asked them separately with a bottle of wine with an attached poem about them sipping by my side on my wedding day. It was cute, they all liked it and I am all about these little details because I am crazy lol

I just asked them as well lol. You definitely don't have to though! They were thrilled enough just by me asking verbally!
