Asking for some prayers please!!!

I don't usually like to bring bad news but I am really upset inside. I just found out today that my Dad's best friend who is like an uncle to me and actually closer to me than some of my real uncles was recently diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and now found to have liver cancer. He call my parents today and my mom was so excited to hear from him and started off by saying, 'Hey I have been telling Lenny (my dad) to call you, we were just thinking about you and wanted to make sure that you were coming to the wedding' That is when she realized that his voice was not the same and something was wrong. He told her that he was not sure how long he had and that he wanted to call and tell my parents that he loved them and to tell me that he was sorry that he wasn't sure he would be able to see lttle Jazzy (me) get married. My mom called me right away while i was in the mist of shopping my butt off after spending 24hr on call and then an additional couple of hours at my part time hospital. I can't believe it and I held myself back because I didn't want my mom to know how upset I was. I just lost my uncle (my mom's brother) on Father's Day and now this. And the truth is, is that this hurts even more because he never did anything to his body wrong - He wasn't a smoker nor a drinker. My uncle who just passed had been given a second chance (a new heart) and he chose to destroy it by going right back to the alcohol and cigarrettes, so I did not feel sorry for him (I may sound cold, but realize I am a doc and see people everyday that aren't so lucky). I am so sorry for the long post, but i just needed to open myself up.

Oh my gosh, I know what your going though. I lose two uncle to Cancer. Both were drinkers and smokers. I was told I had Cancer one year ago this July 6, two months before my wedding.
I'm doing fine now, but this time last year (July 6) I thought my world was over.
