Asking the bridal party

My bridal party hasn't been finalized yet but it's looking like it will be 2-3 ladies. I do have a question in regards to the 'Honor' titles. If I only have 2 ladies (which I am 100% ok with), I thought it would be great if I had one be my maid of honor and one as the matron of honor. The thing is, my potential 'matron' isn't married yet (she's getting married in May) but will be by the time of my wedding.

Do you think that it would be odd to ask her that 'matron' role? What are your thoughts? Do you think its inappropriate?

Re: Asking the bridal party

I don't think that's inappropriate at all.

Totally not inappropriate! I'm the matron of honor at my MOH's wedding because by that time I'll be married!

Not inappropriate, and she will probably be excited to be recognized as a Mrs.!

Is there a difference in the roles of Matron v. Maid?
