Assembling invitations

Assembling invitations

Obviously the invitation and tissue paper are on bottom, with the reception card on top, but does the rest matter what order it goes into the envelope?

Does the response card go on top of the reception cards, with the direction cards on the very top? What is supposed to be on top when you open the inner envelope?

Im so confused

Re: Assembling invitations

When I picked up my invitations, they had a sample made for me. When I opened the inner envelope it was in this order: Invitation in front, reception card behind that, response card and envelope behind that and then directional cards the very last. I don't think there's a 'rule' as to what goes first or last--but I figure I'm spending so much on my invites, that's what I think people should see first! Hope this helps!

Thats exaclty what I did and my thoughts on the subject.

The most important thing in there is the invitation, why would you put it on the bottom?

There is the handy-dandy LIW instructions, thats what I used.

Assembling Invitations

I did my invitations last night and I followed the same method (with invitation on bottom and all enclosures on top):

Invitation
tissue
Reception card
Maps
Response card (tucked in response envelope)

The invitation is the largest. They are placed in size order smallest on top. When the invitation is opened (holding it horizontally) people tend to just grab the invitation, with the invitation on the bottom everything else comes out with it. Just a thought.
