assign a coordinator???

assign a coordinator???

Personally, that's what I think a Maid/Matron of Honor was supposed to be...keeping things in line or keeping your lists "just in case." What else are they for??? Certainly a MoH is more capable than just looking pretty :-)

well..

A suggestion...give each girl specific tasks...don't let anyone think "Oh, I thought so-and-so was supposed to do that since I did this..." Make it clear who does what. In fact, on my "TO DO" list, I have all the activities listed with the person's name next to it, so if someone thinks I overlooked a task, they can see it's been noted and assigned...and if it's not on the list, then they know I missed it and can do it on their own.

a few thoughts...........

My reception was at the milleridge. A week before the wedding, I met w/the banquet coordinator and went over all the little details re: set up, seating assignments, favors, etc. Fox Hollow (?) should do the same for you.

I also delivered all the place cards, favors, cameras, toasting glasses, etc. in advance so they could set up. (they also should pack all that stuff up for you at the end of the night and give them to you in a box) Your matre d should be coordinating your wishes - as well as the coordinating the location and needs of all subcontractors. Its a good idea to assign 1 bad cop to double check, but you'll find that the logistics will be handled by the reception place. That's what you're paying them for.

****Be sure to give all your contracts to your 'bad cop'. If there is a dispute, that's what you'll need to refer to. ******

not too many

completely understandable! remember to breathe!!

:)

Glad to hear you're taking most things there ahead of time. If you're taking the rest there, why not the cake topper? That morning, you're not going to want to worry about much!

Help-I'm clueless

Your florist should coordinate set up with the Huntington Townhouse. The matre d should work with them - and everyone else you've hired that day - to coordinate your wishes. For everything - distrubtion of favors or set up on a table, toasting glasses, cake cutters etc.

You should meet with the banquet office about a week before the wedding to give them place cards + all the other things they'll need to set up (favors, cake stuff, glasses). Generally they'll review everything with you - # of chairs to a table, where the tables should be set up, location of your music, ceremony - and they take care of the rest!

Give your banquet manager a call.

And give the florist, DJ, photographer, video - the phone number to the HTownhouse and the name of your Manager. Tell them they need to coordinate set up that day with the Manager and make sure they have everything they need from HT (if anything) to do their job that day.

Give your banquet manager a call.
