Wow! I forgot just how much work a newborn is!!! My daughter is only 15 mos. old but it seems like forever ago that she was so small and needy. I'm babysitting for my friend who is a single mom and was in a bind. Her son is 7 weeks old and is a little angel but boy, my daughter's jealous side is shining through today! She's not liking the fact that Mommy is holding someone else at all! I am starting to question my decision to having #2!!

oh no, that makes me nervous. Im not sure how my 17m old is going to react to the new baby in the next few weeks

I'm sure it would be different if it were my own baby. I'm just not accustomed to this little guy and all his signals and cries. My FH took our daughter out so she can have some attention!

Anna, I would buy some gifts/toys for your first born that would be presents from your newborn. I was only a little older than your son when my brother was born and that's what my parents did. They said I liked him more after I got some gifts from him
