It's insane out there. Please be careful if you have to go anywhere else.
I'm a little concerned with the gas station. I still have almost a full tank but spend over an hour commuting each day, so if this is still a problem next week, I don't know how I'll get to work.
JESMO I'm in Westbury too and the line on Westbury Ave & Cherry Lane for gas is ridiculous, and people are CRAZY. The line goes completely through Carle Place, people are screaming at other people who just want to drive through town. It's unbelievable, people are turning into animals. & That's a narrow road too, it's awful.
Wow...so crazy. They just fixed most of the streetlights in Westbury. Hopefully they'll make gas stations a priority soon too.
I'm terrified! People are screaming at people who are just trying to break out of line to get from A to B, my coworker got harrassed this morning because she was accidentally waiting in a gas line (it's a one-lane, no shoulder road and the line took up the whole lane) and tried to get out of line, noone would let her out they thought she was trying to cut the line. At night I feel like I'm stuck in 'I Am Legend'...the Will Smith movie, where everyone has like a rabies virus and loses their humanity. This stuff is making people crazy. They shouldn't be getting gas right now unless they NEED it. If not, no need to form a 100 car line just to top off.
I texted my mom this morning, and I told her it feels like Lord of the Flies these days. My God, people, RELAX. Waiting in line for gas is an inconvenience, not a hardship.
