I am tired of doing favors for people and not even getting acknowledged. This is the 4th time this has happened recently and it's annoying.

That's all I have to say......

My husband always tells me that you do favors for selfless reasons - so even if you aren't acknowledged for them, it doesnt matter - you still did somehting good for someone else.... It always makes me feel better to think that way, because honestly - why do a favor for someone? To help them, or to get acknowledgement? And, if they don't treat you nicely after that, or take advantage, then you know you did your last favor for them!!!

Very true.....but all I wanted was a thank you!!! I really don't think that's too much to ask!!

I drove all the way to Manhattan last night for a friend, loaned her money, and not even a freaking thank you! I know, I know, we do it for selfless reasons, but common courtesy would require you to say thanks!

I agree - thats why I said my DH says that - guess who he is always saying it to? I work in a job that requires me to bend over backwards on a daily basis, and do nice things for people... and after over 2 yrs of working there, I can count the thankyous on one hand.

thats messed up your friend didn't thank you for that - and strange - was she in trouble, and maybe her mind was on something else? I can't imagine not thanking a friend for that!!!!

I log on today, and I see &%@&^R%%@$$#&*#(#^)(&$_)$+) and wonder what on earth could have happened since you were having so much fun last night.

Now I see the explanation. Shame on whoever it is for being an obnoxious ungrateful PIA!
