I just have to say that I CAN'T STAND PEARL'S PLACE!!!!
I call them on almost a daily basis to get price quotes for brides and their bridal parties and they always demonstrate just how unprofessional and '***-anine' they really are. Which is why they should only be used for haggling purposes in getting your prices down.
If I had two minutes alone with the manager I would be saying:
'Gee officer, I don't know where that shotgum came from.'
Ok, glad I got that off my chest. Thanks for letting a girl vent.

It's a salon that sells bridal gowns, BM gowns, etc. They are also an online retailer that many brides go to because their prices are so low (but the customer service is mediocre and that's an understatement). There are several stores that I call on a regular basis to haggle for the best price for bridal gowns, BM gowns and FG gowns and PP is one of them. If you get a better price from them, you can use it as a negotiating tool with another salon or online retailer.
But when you call PP to see if they will 'meet or beat the price' they get nasty and rude because they don't like it when another retailer beats their prices.
I will rely on the words made famous by the little boy in 'Meet the Fockers' ..............
'AISH - HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLE'!!

what a shame! I have heard good things in the past but I guess that doesn't mean much!
Try BRIDESAVE and WEDDING EXPRESSIONS. they both received A ratings for quality and customer service in the book Bridal Bargains by Denise & Aaron Fields.
RK Bridal also has a price quote 'We'll beat em' policy and received an A for service and quality in the book. I used the RK no frills method to order my dress for $250. less than the retail price.

I've used them all (thank you for the info. though). I haggle with several companies but I usually use PP as a 'jump off' point since their prices, for the most part, are very low. Then I start the negotiating process from there.
RK is another great store for negotiating since they offer the 5% deal. You can go back and give that price to another retailor and the games begin.
This is just my experience with them when it comes time to price matching so if anyone else has a good experience with them, they should stick with them.

Have u tried Lillettes in Baldwin - I went there on Saturday and got a thank you card from them today - they are really nice, the prices are great and if you get your dress there BM get 10% off their gowns. If youre having such a bad experience with that place I just wouldnt even bother to call anymore

I was getting quotes for BM dress last week and Lilettes does not give it to you over the phone. However, I dropped by the actual store on Sat. (with my FI -- he was not the only male in the store though ) and they were extrememly nice. I did go there for bridal gown shopping and thought they were really nice.
