At the risk of being called a primadonna...

i am so overwhelmed with going to school full time and working full time, i feel like the household chores are being pushed to the wasteside - does anyone think its outrageous to have a cleaning woman come once a week to do the heavy cleaning? deff let me know if you have anyone good in suffolk thats reasonably priced..

Nope I dont think its being primadonna-y at all. If you can adjust it into your budget then go for it.

I hated having to clean my apt when working a full day at work and being in class till 10:00

Not at all!! A lot of times they can clean better than you can and they do it faster.

If that's being a primadonna, then I am very happily one as well.

If it doesn't break your budget, definitely do it! It is sooooooooo worth it!!!

I used to have a cleaning lady come in twice a month and she did all the major cleaning so all I had to do was make sure I cleaned up after cooking and other minor cleaning.

I also used the drop off service at the laundromat to do my laundry.

Like I said, if you can fit it into your budget, definitely do it!!

absolutely not!! I know I feel like I all I do when I am home is clean. Having someone come in to do the DIRTY work - even if its just one every few weeks and you make an effort to maintain it till the next time - is a major help. Worth every penny imo

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I also work full time and go to school full time... I do both 5 days a week (and even go to school on Sundays!!!!!! ) and I would have LOVED to have someone come clean up around here. Luckily I am graduating next month so I figured I would just save my money let the apt fall apart until then! j/k!

NO WAY AT ALL! I go to school full time and work part time and student teach-im lucky enough to live with my grandma though and all i have to do is keep my room clean but if i was on my own that phone would be in my hand faster than you could imagine! Maybe you could get someone even just once a month if its too expensive for just once a week

I know exactly how you feel because I go to school full time and work full time too. I would totally get a cleaning lady in a heartbeat, but I live at home still so I have a cleaning...Daddy.

We work for a living to enjoy life, not sit home and clean. I've had a cleaning lady since I moved out on my own 12 years ago... wouldn't trade her for the world. She follows me to every place I lived.

SO FUNNY MY FH JUST SAID THE SAME THING. WE ARE REALLY GOOD ABOUT GETTING THINGS DONE & NOT HAVE ANYTHING FALL BY THE WAIST SIDE, BUT HE THINKS GETTING A CLEANING LADY WOULD FREE UP OUR WEEKENDS TO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING LIKE THAT. I THINK IF WE JUST DO IT IT GETS DONE BUT MY SISTER HAS AGREAT GIRL SO MAYBE ILL ASK HOW MUCH OUR HOUSE WILL BE EVERY OTHER WEEK. UNFORTUNATELY IM IN NASSAU, SO HER GIRL CANT HELP YOU. BUT GOOD LUCK & TOTALLY DO IT, YOU HAVE ALOT ON YOUR PLATE RIGHT NOW. GO FOR IT!

GO FOR IT!!!!! if i can affor it when we move into a home, then i'll do it too, even if i dont have to work. its one thing to clean and straighten things up, but the cleaning lady will dust EVERYTHING. they are amazing.
