I've been asking him for 2 months to hand me his completed guest list w/ addresses. He knows I'm ordering this week. He knows we have a lot of OOT'ers. Every week, I say, 'I'd really appreciate having that list by Friday' and every Friday comes w/ no list. I know that he was going through very rough times w/ his wife, they almost signed divorce papers, but now he's working it out. Meanwhile, when I talked to him Saturday, he was in PA ALL DAY with HER KID at a college. But he can't take 10 min to write some freaking addresses down for his daughter??? Am I wrong to be extremely mad w/ him? Is anyone else going through this? What should I do? I want to call him again now, but I don't know how many more times I can leave him a vm that says- if I don't get your list, you're people are not invited. Please help!

Tell him one more time, and if he doesn't get back to you by the end of the week, order the invites without his list. Thats what I would do if my dad starts giving me problems. He already has stressed me out and my wedding isn't for another seven months.

I guess we all go thru this. I am having same issues with FMIL. I told her that I was ordering the invites and if I didnt have enough than I would get more from a dollar store and mail those to her friends and family. I have a little feeling that she just might be sitting home working on that guest list now. She was speechless when I told her about the $1 store invites. A classy lady like that would never want to be humilliated.

I'm having the same problem with my father for the save the date addresses. He's been really busy too cause he just got remarried and went on a honeymoon. What I did was have him come over to watch a basketball game and while he was here I made him bring his address book and call all the people I needed addressess from. Try scheduling a time to get together and get him to do it then. Good luck! Its a pain, but be persistent.
