Re: at your job...

I got back from vacation and EVERYTHING was left for me to do.... noone lifted a finger so much as to send papers to our duplicating center to copies (heaven's forbid they actually copy the crap themselves )

But that doesn't help your situation now does it?

I know how you feel and Im sorry!!

Re: at your job...

its such pure bs i cant take it, and to find out that the girl who left (my old boss) is coming back..which means i did all this extra bs work in hopes of getting promoted or at least more $$$ was a big waste of time... i hate it here and my self-made deadline is the last day of june to get the f*ck out of here

eventually, you just have to go with it & find someone else to push stuff off to.

Let's see...My boss has me updating all of our spreadsheets because she can't trust the secretary to do it right...So, that's what my doctorate is good for, doing the secretary's work because she manages to f%&! up everything? Maybe next my alphabetizing will be put to work if she manages to mess up all of the filing?

yes, but unless you really love what you are doing, being the only one that does their job isn't so rewarding after a while. it's not the 'right' thing g to do, I'm just saying it makes the other people 's incompetancy bother you less.

I agree. I would work 110% if I felt it was recognized and/or rewarded. When you do the work of everyone else and get treated no differently--sometimes worse than those doing little or nothing--you quickly lose the motivation.

YES, a thousand times.

I actually took today off because I got dragged in on Saturday.

yup!

we have one girl that stares at a blank computer screen in between flipping through Star magazine and talking to her friends on the phone.
