At your reception where do you put the cardbox

I have idea where to put the cardbox at my reception anyone have any idea where you are putting yours??

my moms afraid someone could walk off with it....

Ours was on a small round table that was next to the dais

oooh ok.....bc i know theres a table with cake next to mine and fh's table (thats the dias right??) So i would put that on another table by us andppl would come and drop the cards in?

it's usually at a little table right next to you or behind you. Don't worry, i'm sure your banquet mgr will have something set up for it.

the last 2 weddings I went to my friend went around with the white bag around her wrist?

and the other one there was a table by the door for the gifts and the box was there...

im going to have it on a table by me..

I just realized I had no idea where this thing goes!

Yeah, thats the dais. We had the cake on one side and the cardbox on the other side of us. People are supposed to drop them in the box, but a lot of our guests handed them to us and I hd to ask them to put drop it in. A few of them were apparently confused my the photocube cardbox and thought it was just a decoration.

they always put it next to you or your parents or bridal party... somewhere where someone will see is a person is up to no good.. but honestly these are all your friends and family WHY would they ever tthink of walking off with a box full of checks in your name??

Hey fellow HWC-er! I'm not sure where it goes either--the cake table is right by the sweetheart table, and it doesn't seem like it would go there....but I'm sure Barbara knows where to put it! She knows everything

I am planning to put it by us at the reception.

prior to the reception, it will be with our gift attendant (one of our friends).

I'm putting it in the cocktail hour room. My reason for this, is because I went to a wedding last summer and alot of guests were worried about leaving envelopes in the wrong place to get food and walk around. Also, I want people to dance and have fun as soon as they get into the reception without having to chase us around to give it to us, especially since we are not going to go around collecting them either. Once we are in the reception room, I will have it moved to somewhere close to where we are sitting.
