Atalntic City vs. Mohegan Sun/Foxwoods

It seems hard ot get a room in AC right now. Do you think MS or FW would be less crowded? Are they still a fun atmospeher,e which is better?

I think MS for FW is much nicer then AC. It is a lot of fun, but I have also found rooms are more $$$. I am not a gambler at all, but have found other fun things to do there. Plus they have some great resteraunts.

I will be in MS very soon for 3 nights... much better then AC (IMO). I thought there was less to do up there, but turns out, plenty of shows, plenty of nightlife entertainment. i was just concerned about being in one place, but you can drive up to foxwoods (20 mins)

The boardwalk at AC is nice, but there's still things to do at Mohegan...although I won't go back there again either. There's cigarette smoke everywhere (the non-smoking section has half walls ) and I felt so sick the whole time.

I've never been to MS of FW, but I just got back from AC and was surprised that they have so many differnt things to do now. Ceasars has this outdoor bar that had a band and dj, it was a blast. A couple of the hotels had lots of bands and things going on. We had such a good time

I surprised my dh with a 3 day getaway to foxwoods/mohegan sun. We stayed at a place called the hilltop inn...it was nice..not too great for the price though..but the best thing about it was being only 2 miles from foxwoods and a short ride to mohegan sun. We were able to go to both casinos, the aquarium and mystic seaport. We had a blast. Both casinos are gorgeous and it was just an overall great time. I know that there are many hotels/motels close to both so instead of paying $$$ to stay 'on the grounds', why not look into that? If you have any questions, fm me! :)

I just went to AC this past weekend. I think it's getting more rundown. I love Foxwoods. We stay outside Foxwoods, usually in mystic, and there they have an aquarium and the seaport. It's nice and usually less expensive.

Ac is ok, Foxwoods is nice but Mohegan Sun is the best one...We loved it there

Mohega sun has a nicer atmosphere than foxwoods. AC is a dump. The casinos in CT are much nicer.

I never stayed at Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods, although when I go, I usually have a great time shopping, gambling, etc.

A few weeks ago FH and I stayed overnight at the Tropicana in AC, which they just finished renovating. The restaurants were awesome...esp if you like Cuban food. The surrounding area is a little barren, but I didn't feel uncomfortable or anything.

Mohegan Sun is BEAUTIFUL!!! we stayed there last year... the hotel is gorgeous- much nicer than foxwoods in my opinion... it was even nice then some of the hotels in Vegas...

I did the same thing. Stayed at Days Inn or Hojo's or something in Mystic, then just went to Foxwoods at night.

If you goto Mohegan, there is a Microtel Inn right up the block. Brand new hotel, very clean, inexpensive and they give you a daily frr continental breakfast

The non-smoking section of Foxwoods is pretty decent.

Also some of the hotels offer free shuttles to Mohegan so you don't have to drive over there each time. this is for the Marriott Norwich

I had my bachelorette party at MS this weekend. My first visit there, but I found it to be great and I liked it better than Foxwoods. We stayed at the Mystic Marriot which was a very nice hotel (and it has a Red Door Spa in it). They had a shuttle bus going to Mohegan Sun every hour on the weekend.

i feel like its harder to get rooms as MS and FW than in AC though, b/c theres not as many hotels/ options as in AC (though ive never been to AC, whenever the others ones are full, we check them out, and theres always rooms available).

i love MS, BUT they dont have many option if you like to sit and play cards against Real people (not just the video machines) ... just like 875493 different versions of Black Jack.. Foxwoods is better for that (but i'm partial to hold 'em )

I love,love,love Mohegan Sun. We went this past Feb. for Valentines weekend with about 4 other couples. My brother found a hotel near by (cant think of the name now). I feel in Foxwoods you get lost easily. Mohegan Sun is so much fun and its gorgeous!
We are making it a tradition every year to go there around Valentines Day!

having been to all 3 , living in CT- mohegan is better than foxwoods- but Atlantic city has more to do as far as shows, things other than gambling, and many more hotels..

Mohegan has good shopping, many rest. to choose from, the hotel is beautiful and their spa is great- however its the only option right in the casino so they can charge you whatever they want! and if there happens to be a big show/concert there forget about trying to get a room unless you do it far enough in advance!

to me- going to mohegan is a night event only cause it is only an hour away from where i live- atlantic city is more 'a break'
