I have decided to do Atkins for 2 weeks just so I can quickly drop 8 lbs. The last time I tried Atkins, I felt so sick after just a few days, but in those few days, I lost a noticeable amount of weight.
I want to make sure that this time around I eat more of a variety of things.
What does everyone suggest?
Please remember that I will be doing the induction stage for about 2 weeks, so this is the super strict carb stage where I'm limited to less that 20 carbs a day!
Last time I was eating eggs & chicken, beef, fish & salad & that was it! What else can I have?

Re: Atkins
Check out their website - there are a lot of recipes that should give you some ideas. At least you eat eggs ... my frist two weeks of induction were meat, meat & more meat!
I did lose 23lbs though!! (Only to gain nearly all of it back after the wedding ... )
Good luck ...

Aren't eggs allowed during the induction stage? I don't have the book, but I just assunmed it was OK, since they don't have carbs, or do they?

Re: Atkins
Yeah, I think they're ok - I just don't eat eggs at all.

Re: Atkins
I tend to eat a lot of antipasta salads, steaks, buffalo wings (not breaded, not BBQ sauce...has to be Franks or Durkee red hot...it's the common type for restaurants), chicken, greek salads, asparagus, bacon, eggs, salmon, cheese, olives, pepperoni, pickles, Boar's Head Beef Hotdogs (0 carbs), and the list goes on. The key is to mix it up so you don't get bored! Good Luck!

Re: Atkins
Stay away from cold cuts and sweet and low. They stop weight loss. Its the nitrates in the cold cuts that does it

Re: Atkins
There are a lot of vegetairan 'meat :,products (lie hot dogs, , bacon, sausage, etc) that are also very low in carbs, and they ,ay be able ot help yu get more variety, and help to stop you form getting sick because they have less fat and grease than real meat.
