Atlantic City Warning

Atlantic City Warning

My parents get free rooms down in AC, and were supposed to go tonight through Saturday. Their host called them last night to tell them their room is cancelled. I don't know if it's because they had a free room so the hotel wouldn't make any money off them, or if the hotel is canceling all reservations.

If you or anyone you know are going this weekend I would call to confirm any reservations. I'm sure it's just cancelled because their room was free, but you never know.

Update: My mom called the hotel, and they confirmed that they are cancelling free rooms. You can get a room for a price - and it seems like reduced rates. Maybe people could renegotiate

they probably cancelled them because they closed the casinos because of the budget.

While gambling is closed right now, the Casinos are still open for business as far as eating, drinking, clubs etc. is concerned.

But you are probably right, their room was probably cancelled because they wouldnt be spending any money at the casino. Did they ask for an explanation? If not, they should.

I just got a breaking news update that an agreement has been worked out for the NJ Budget.

It doesn't have details about when the casinos, state parks, beaches, dmv, etc. will reopen.
