Atlantica vs Lands End

Any negatives for Atlantica or Lands End? I think deciding on a place is the hardest part-it has to be perfect, right?

I don't know any negatives for either one but just wanted to say how gorgeous Atlantica is. I'm not sure about service. Sometimes I hear it is very good and sometimes it's just OK. The room is so amazing though. I decided against Atlantica because of summer traffic but I really loved it.

Atlantica gets my vote! The service was amazing and my food was awesome!!!! If I did it again I would STILL do it there....haven't heard any negatives about the service from anyone else who had it there...

While Atlantica is beautiful too, i found it's dancefloor SMALL!

I believe it was around $115.00 a head (this is not including tax and tip) so with it $152.00 a head. I may be wrong, it may be a little cheaper. Don't wait too long because a lot of the May dates have already been taken. We booked in July and our selection was really limited because they book quick! Good luck!

Both are beautiful places, each with a different vibe to them. If you have a gorgeous day outside, the Land's End can give you wonderful places for photos. Atlantica is beautiful as well with the beach outling the cocktail room

I have to put a vote in for Atlantica since that's my place! Negative for atlantica is they only have saturday weddings in may june and september. and possibly the price? But so far I love everything about it. Read Jennyg and blissbride's reviews on Atlantica.

My vote is Atlantica! I am an event planner, by profession and found Atlantica to be the top-of-the-line of venues. We had an extraordinary wedding. For pics... check out www.geraldinebaum.com
Feel free to call me with any questions.

Thanks for all the great advice! Also how do I read a past review from blissbride?

I liked the fact that
Atlantica has the salon/spa right there, it would make getting ready easier. Plus, people can stay right there. We did a weekend wedding so that was important to us. The room is pretty too. I wasn't sure if they offered enough food with their standard package.

Re: Atlantica vs Lands End

I got married at Lands End and it was a great decision...

I don't have a negative thing to say...the food was outstanding...service top notch (I was never in want of anything and they anticipated my needs)

the staff was also so kind...they were great to talk to...and since we were early...they started my ceremony early and we got an extra 20 mins of cocktail hour...

I don't have any negatives about atlantica...the reason we did not book there was that it was too far (we even thought LE was too far) since my dad's entire family is in CT and all of our friends are in the Manhattan/Queens area...

I think the only way LE will negotiate is with date...and with maximum...since we couldn't do anything about either of those (or didn't want to) we were unable to neg...but when I booked in early 2001 friday night/sat afternoon/sun afternoon was $125, sun night was $110 and sat night and sun twilight were $140 (I'm almost positive I heard this is $150 now)

I was also deciding between Lands End and Atlantica. I decided to go with Atlantica, although it was a hard choice. You can beat being on the ocean. And, for me, I think Lands End would have been a bit too big. I was afraid I'd loose the guests all over the grounds mansion/grounds at Lands End! They're both great, though! You can't go wrong.

I went to a wedding at Lands End and thought it was fabulous. So I can only give my opinion on that. The place, the food and the service were all great.
