Me & DH have decided we are going to get a boston to add to our family!! We have been going over so many breeds with our trainer and she had nothing but good things to say about them and she thinks the breed will get along great with our layla!!
Tell me about your experiences!!

soooo happy to hear that! You are going to be so happy with that beautiful puppy! I've had nothing but great experiences with my Gizmo. We got him from a breeder that lives on a farm upstate, but has a sister in Queens. My dog was the 'outcast' of the litter because he isn't show quality like his brothers and sisters - he was left behind and 4 months old when we found him.
Actually, it was a funny story. My parents went to the woman's house in Queens to look at pugs, and she said 'my sister is here visiting, she has a 4 month old Boston, if anyone's interested.'
Well, my little guy came RUNNING out of the kitchen and hopped RIGHT INTO my Mom's lap and started sniffing her neck!!! He looooves Tresor perfume.
We came home with him that day, and he's been the best dog EVER. He listens so well, never messed in the house, eats calmly - the only drawback are his silent killers... he rarely gets gas, but when he does, STAND BACK!!!
Another thing - Bostons LOVE blankets. Gizmo will only sleep on his fleece blankies - and he arranges them his own little way so that he's kinda 'tucked in.' It's adorable.
He's 8 now, and starting to show signs of arthritis in his hip. Occasionally, especially when it's snowing, he'll walk on 3 legs.
If you have any specific questions, I'm more than happy to share.
I LOVE MY BOSTON!!!

Re: ATT BOSTON TERRIER OWNERS? questions
HI
This is my first post on the PET board...I have a BT and his name is Deniro. we got him from a breeder in North Dakota..FH and I got Deniro last April..Deniro is 14 months...and I absolutly LOVE him!!!!
He was the runt of the litter,,so he is tiny..he is now about 14 pounds...
BT are so affectionate..and they are truly like little babies..They are such smart dogs...we have yet to have any problems with him. He was house broken almost immediatly..Rarely had an accident..and training him was so easy. We have to constantly clean his face, otherwise the white hair on his face gets disclolored (and it still got discolored).
Deniro does the exact same thing with his fleece that shorty's dog Gizmo does....Deniro arranges his fleece in a way that he can get under it and lookslike he tuckrd himself in..It is the funniest thing ever...
I cant wait to get another one...
ETA: below is a pix of Deniro!!! Good Luck!!!!!!!!
i have to agree with everything that's been said. bostons are terrific.
they're smart and so affectionate. whenever i come home, winnie always greets me with her whole body wagging back and forth and a million kisses.
and yes, winnie also has lethal gas, but it's kind of endearing. sometimes she'll be chewing on a toy and i'll hear a little puff of air escape, and she'll stop for a second and look at her butt and then go on chewing again.
anyway, best of luck! i'm sure you will be very happy with your decision.

the gas problem is the only down fall......but it amazes me how something so powerful comes out of that little body!!!!!
