My sister is getting married there in February, Her BM told her that the waiters wont serve drinks to the guests at the table. The guests have to get up and go to the bar wich is located in the library room.
Is this normal My sister has the garden room and library room
Is this normal for guests to have to get up and get their own drinks???

i was at a wedding there in october...and for the most part the waiters would get drinks for us. we first sat down and the waiters got drinks and would ask a few times here and there.
i've only been to one wedding where the waiters didn't bring drinks at all. i thought it was a little odd.

That sounds normal. We had 2 bars set up in our room-we had the larger room downstairs. We did give the waiters at our 2 head tables a big tip and asked them to take care of our guests at those tables-so our parents wouldn't have to get their own drinks. But everyone else had to go to the bar (I think). I thought that was the norm

not sure about westbury, although we did look there... I have never been to a wedding where I had to get my own drinks

This was not the case at our wedding at Westbury Manor. My mom, sister and BF noted that their drinks were constantly refreshed and I know they did not walk up to the bar.
I doubt very seriously that Jerry Scotto would make such a change given the ideal of making Westbury Manor as upscale as possible.

I just booked the Westbury Manor for 5/08. I was specifically told that although there would be two bars in the room, our guests would be served table side as well.
