ATTEMPTED to Register (LONG)

Well, this morning we got to Fortunoff at 10:30am!! (Before I begin the babble-fest let me just tell you John did NOT want to do this. He said that if he didn't like something he will comment other then that he does not care!! And we had Patrick with us) OF COURSE, it started off bad. Fortunoff doesn't open till 11:00! But luckily Old Navy was open so we went in there. At 11:00 we went to the registry got the gun & we were off. I went straight to the everyday dishes since they were right there. The first fight began. He wouldn't even look at them & he said as long as there is dinner on them every night he can give a hoot about what they look like! (he finds himself to be humorus!) So, I looked up & down a few times to make sure I knew what I wanted & he walked away! I scanned the ones I wanted & went to silverware. We decided that maybe we don't need these after he realised I was a slight bit annoyed. We went to the china & by the Waterford. I looked at the china while he & Patrick went to looked at the Waterford. I saw 4 that I kind of liked but wanted his opinion. His response was 'who the hell is going to spend over $100 for one place setting??' So I said fine lets go to the 3 floor. I knew there at least he would get into it. I was right! He started saying zap that & zap this! Life was going good but... Patrick was bored & complaining. So we decided we'd zap a few more things & then go to the second floor & then get the hell out of there.
THE ZAPPER BROKE!!!!! I went to a sales rep & asked him if he knew what was wrong with it. He 'attempted' to fix it & then said if I were you I'd go downstairs & have them fix it. So, I did! I told John to go to the mall & I'd meet him there. SO Patrick would at least be able to run around. I would zap the few things we saw that we wanted & I can get a gift for a friend. I got to the bridal registry the girl looked at the zapper & told me that EVERYTHING we zapped was gone! The moron upstairs deleted everything! She told me I'd have to start all over again!!!
Needless to say I ran back up to the third floor got my friends gift & left!! I'm going to go one night during the week by myself!!

Tracy, the SAME thing happened to us with the gun. You'd think a nice store like Fortunoff's would have corrected this by now

This happened to us on our 3rd trip there to add stuff & we had to go back & rescan the stuff on all 3 floors!!

Well, after getting very aggravated I complained to them and they issued me a $50 gift card
I suggest since you didn't do this today, call them and complain on the phone.

Even the woman behind the counter told me they have problems with the guns all the time...well HELLO, then fix them!!!

sorry to hear that! I had to drag FH with me to do it ... and he did survive! We had problems with the gun too, but we were at BBB and the problem was shown right at the first item so we did not lose any info.

Not yet! I'll wait till next week!! I have a shower to go to on Sat! And Sunday is probably going to be the only day that John will be off! So I'd rather hang with him! How sappy!!

Similar thing happened to me this past weekend but @ Crate n Barrel. We went sunday morning when the store is closed for registrants. My FI was so excited running around the store scanning everything and anything, especially gadgets he knew I wasent going to approve so he hid it from me. But when we went to update the registry, everything got erased. Suffice it to say, he was very annoyed... We got fed up and decided to tackle the task another day.
