Hello Ladies, I am definitely on the fair side but I'd like to try getting an airbrush tan, which I've never done before. Just wondering if anyone has any tips at all. I know you are supposed to exfoliate, so I was going to shower with a loofah before I go. I am a little worried because since I am fair mistakes will be obvious. I'm going for something subtle, def not a deep tan- I want to look like myself!

Re: Attempting spray tan
I just got it done on thurs for a wedding for the first time. It looked pretty good, only one little blotch area but you coudlnt really tell. I just got one level up from superpale and you can def notice a difference. It is annoying to stand there with your arms out though. It reminded me of how much better I look with a tan

I recommend going to the Beach Bum in Levittown (on hempstead turnkpike) the girls there are super nice and they will customize a color for you so you don't look orange or rediculous.
Good Luck!

Make sure you do it close enough to your wedding because sometimes it fades in not so pretty ways :) good luck!

I recently got mine done by a person (not the machine) for the first time--- I loveddd it and will never go back to the spraying machine ever again!!!!! Just make sure u tell them how light/dark u wanna be and they should know what to do!

Re: Attempting spray tan
I have had both spray tan (machine) and airbrush (done by a person) and I am obsessed with both. The new Mystic machines are sooo much better than they used to be and leave much less blotchy areas, but for an important occassion, I highly recommend the airbrush. Like someone else mentioned, Beach Bum can customize a color for you. I am very fair as well, and last summer for my cousins wedding I got a Level 1 with a splash of 2 and it looked awesome!!! I am asking all of my BMs to do some sort of tanning for our wedding- whether it be natural, tanning bed, spray tan, Jergens lotion, because this is what it looks like when all but one girl do it....
Also, the second pic is of me with the airbrush...
I highly recommend Beach Bum's custom airbrush tanning. You definitely won't be left blotchy or orange.
Exfoliate and shave before you go and don't use any moisturizer or make-up or anything like that. Wear loose-fitting clothing (I wear a t-shirt, sweats, and a thong- no bra) and don't plan on doing anything afterwards, you will look gross. 4-6 hours after you get sprayed, you can rinse in warm water- no soap, no scrubbing. Then 12 hours after you get sprayed you can take a normal hot shower with soap though I would still lay off the loofah.

Re: Attempting spray tan
Thanks for all of the tips! Not sure if anyone saw my other post, but when I got home last might I was definitely freaking out! She used the lightest one they had but the way it sat on my skin made me look very dark by the time I got home. However, after taking a nice rinse this morning it looks much, much better!
