Attention all.

Apparently my 1-800-ASK-A-RANDOMCULTURALGROUP post was removed.

While it was meant completely as a joke (and not even as a foreseeable offensive type joke) I want to make sure I didn't offend anyone.

I feel really bad if I did. I love Jewish people. I hope I didn't upset anyone.

Sowwy.

(See, I'm not an A-hole, I feel bad when I possibly upset people when I don't mean to!)

It was like... if I had said 'My friend is Christian and wants invitiations specifically tailored to the Christian religion. Does anyone know where I can get Christian wedding invitations?'

I'm still confused about how it was possibly offensive rather than me just being silly but... eh.

My apologies for any possible unintentional hurting of feelings to anyone of ANY group.

If I was trying to be rude, people would know it.

Yeah but... I didn't say anything negative about any group or any person.

I'm from the midwest, I don't even know what any offensive slurs would be for Jewish people.

I mean I know what they are for Catholics?

I'm befuddled by this.

i think anytime it comes down to race, religion, politics or sexual preference... some people are a little more... touchy... then others.

honestly, there are some funnies i'd LOVE to post.. like i laugh hard at, but i dont post them because i'm scared they might offend just one person, and most of those funnies have to do with race, religion and politics.

But this got pulled and that whole blowup over on BHB stayed put about 'how lame the Catholic church was' stayed put.

Ah whatever. I don't care what color/religion/political-leaning anyone is... as long as you aren't an idiot.

And I just am saying that I wasn't calling anyone an idiot. I apologize for the confusion in what my meaning was.

no idea what happened, but as a Jew I am compelled to post on this thread.

I take offense to anything and everything to do with my peeps. so Becki: we are no longer BFF's. sorry

ppl are so touchy. Geremie always says that he is such a Jew about picking up pennies everywhere and that I am b/c I hate drafts. its funny. ppl are way too serious. laugh more at urself and u will live longer.

Me neither. Especially since I told you how I have like zip experience with Jewish people since I'm straight outta the bible belt of the midwest.

I'm sort of a 1:1 offender. I don't need to be offensive to a group of people, I can figure out something to say about the person themselves.

And this is like the one time I wasn't saying something with stealth-sass because I wasn't even trying to be mean to the girl.

Like had it been Barb I would've said '1-800-ASK-A-BUFFET-FREQUENTER.

dude. i was part of that post, i am jewish, and i participated in the joke. it wasnt offensive. some things are, that wasnt. no apology needed but very nice of you to do so anyways!

I remember seeing the post and there was nothing offensive about it. The chick was like a 2007 bride or something. I thought it was silly to get offended over.
