I just went to the Crest Hollow CC today to meet with a banquet manager to inquire for my wedding and he showed me the Emerald room...but told me that the whole room will look different soon since they are doing major renovations on it this January! He said they are gutting out the whole room...even adding a dome ceiling. He made it sound like this huge job and I sure it will look beautiful when its done but all I kept thinking about were the brides getting married there in Jan and the following months (I don't know how long the construction will last) that may not know about these plans! I know the place is huge and it may not effect any other rooms but it may be worth calling them if they haven't mentioned any major construction.
I felt I owed it to all the CHCC brides to tell you guys about this...just in case they didn't!

Who did you meet with? Accckkk. My reception is in the Emerald room. We picked it because it was different from the other rooms. Grrrr....I''m going to have to contact my BM. Has anyone else heard anything?

Crest Hollow has a very good reputation and I doubt they would not alert a bride if there was a possibility that there would be construction in her room on her date. I am getting married there and they seem to be very detail oriented. Check it out though; but I wouldn''t panic over it.

I spoke with Gabe. The room now has different levels (the DJ is raised and the dancefloor is sunken) and he siad that they haven''t decided to keep it that way or not but the only thing that will be the same are the stone walls. I don''t doubt their reputation at all and Gabe was very helpful. I also highly doubt that they would book someone in that room DURING the construction but I was just concerned for brides having receptions in other rooms at that time. Just trying to help!

Yes i feel the same way.. My wedding is this february..and in the Emerald Room. Only 3 months away. They do have a really good reputation and I have not heard a single thing. Now i have not spoken with my banquet manager in quite some time but i have finished all of my major payments and i never once heard a thing. And if someone has their wedding booked in a specific room then i find it very hard that the company would just forget about that.
