Sorry for crashing!!!
We're also a Russo's couple and are having our ceremony at 3 pm in Valley Stream and then our cocktail hour is starting at 5:30, the church is about 15 minutes away.
If you are able to tell people to be at the church at 1 but not start until 1:20ish that might buy you more time. And if you're able to start your CH a half hour earlier that might also help...
If the family has some place to go then you should be fine, and if not, Russos' has a lounge for everyone to spend some time in :)

My full mass is a half hour away at 4:00 then hospitality at 6 can you make your ceremont later?

we originally had it for 3, but friends of ours and our photographer said 3 was cutting it too close, since we have three different locations for pics (clove lake park, brooklyn bridge, and plum beach), so we changed it to 1. 2 would have been perfect, but our church does not offer 2. go figure

OH OK I DIDNT KNOW YOU WERE GOING TO DIFFERENT PICTURE LOCATIONS IM NOT GOING TO ANY JUST HAVING THE PHOTOGRAPHER COME EARLY THEN PICS AT THE CHURCH AND RUSSOS. SINCE YOUR HAVING PIC LOCATIONS THAT MAKES SENSE . SRRY FOR THE ALL CAPS I DIDNT LOOK UP TOO MUCH TO RETYPE HAHA

Our church is at 2, ch is at 6 30 that's the only way I could have made it work so I don't care lol I was so stressed about it before

Oooo you didnt mention pictures!!! Haha, your guests will be fine in their lounge and if they want, down the block (which is where i'm getting married) is Vetro - By Russo's and they have a fantastic lounge your guests can hang out in :)
