Attn: All lawyers I need your help

Okay, I have a very dear friend who is going through a horrible time right now with a crazy relative. The relative's livein boyfriend got into an argument with her and the sicko set him up by literally putting stuff in his car and then asking him to go to the store for her to pick up cigarettes. Well when he does this she calls the police and has them pull him over on his way back about a block from their house and he gets locked up over the weekend(okay I know it sounds like a crazy tv series but I can tell you I've known this girl for a very long time and this is the honest truth which is one reason why I wont even associate with her in years)okay well the boyfriend calls my friend because he doesnt know whats going on and needs her to get in touch with this relative who is now not answering her phone. Okay so my friend does this, now after awhile he starts calling her all the time just to vent because over an arguement over finances and the fact that the relative gambles all his savings in online casinos...he is now in trouble for something he had nothing to do with. Okay fast forward to the fact that the relative gets it in her head that my friend is now fooling around with her boyfriend and starts leaving her vulgar, threatening voicemails, emails and involving tons of their family members in something that never happened. She has even called me and my children but we will not answer the phone because we dont want to get involved and it's safer for us because we are in another state. Anyhow, now I get a call from my friend in tears because this lunatic she is related to set up a myspace account with vulgar things about my friend with all her phone numbers, including work and all day long men have been calling her leaving vulgar messages. Well my friends boss got wind of this and has now forwarded these voicemails to their corporate office and she is going to lose her job. What can she do to stop this lunatic and or possible have her locked up? I would really like to give her some hope.
Any advice would be appreciated TIA girls!
