Attn: DIYers....has anyone....

ever carved a 'Funkin'? (fake pumpkin -- made of foam)

I bought one and wanted to incorporate it on one of our tables at the wedding but I'm not sure what I should carve it with.

Anyone have any experience with them?

i've never done it.. are u going to paint it? but here's my suggestion


paint it first..spray paint may work best and possibly easiest..

then using a penicil sketch in the letters or whatever u want to use.. stencils on plastic will bend to fit over the pumpkin.

using an exacto knife carve out the words letters.. the outline..

then use the exacto knife to dig it out.

tape those carved out areas up. and respray paint it.

let it dry real good

tape up the outside areas (the parts u painted orange ) tape it real good

then spray paint the carved out areas yellow..

it's already painted...they look real!
