I need a little info about the English CST. So far I have taken and passed (on the first try) the Social Studies CST and the Students with Disabilities CST. I have enough credits to get certified in English, but I'm worried about the test.
Please share your experience with the English CST. How did you study? How many times did you take it? What did you study with?
I havent taken an English class in about 3 years
TIA!!

Re: ATTN: English Teachers
Hey--
I have a book I can mail you if you want, FM me!
I did really well on the English CST, but I took it like two weeks after graduating with my Bachelor's in English. There is some technical stuff on it (identifying types of poetry, rhyme scheme, etc), but I think if you are well-read and do some studying you should be OK
HTH!

I feel like it was sooooooo long ago but I remember finding sample questions online and just practicing with those. Good luck!

I agree...I took it so long ago to, I ahve also taken the CST Students with disabilities and it is totally different, I found the English the Hardest out of all the tests you need to take. Check out the sample questions and review MLA format for essay.

Re: ATTN: English Teachers
the online questions were all i did-honestly i didn't think the test was bad at all..i found all the cert. tests to be annoying more than anything else lol..
the book i didnt really find helpful though-i thought the book went into specifics wayyyyy more than what was actually on the test
