Did you book a Concierge or Butler room? If so, did you feel it was worth the extra money?
For those who DID NOT book Concierge or Butler, did you feel you missed out? Did you have trouble getting dinner reservations?

We booked a Butler room and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! We did not lift a finger the entire time. PROS: Surprise drinks in our suite every day, dinner reservations, bubble baths with bubbly waiting for us after excursions, private driver to tour the island - the list goes on and on.

Looks like you went to St Lucia, which is where we are probably booking. I am leaning towards the Grande. Where did you stay?

La Toc. We had the two story villa with private pool and butler. If you stay there - ask for Roger as your butler. TOP OF THE LINE SERVICE!
BTW... The restaurants are BETTER at La Toc. HTH

I figure we would take the shuttle over there once or twice for dinner. I think the beach looks better (and have heard it's way less hilly) at the Grande, so those are pluses in my book.
I hate hills.

We're not going for the honeymoon, we're going in Feb for a birthday trip.Staying at Sandals Whitehouse... We went w/ a basic room.

Whitehouse was my top choice for Jamaica. I hear it's amazing!

We went to sandals grande in St lucia and did the concierge service. In my opinion it was well worth it but I would not go and do a butler service.. The concierge service gave turn down service at night, we always had our room stocked with our fav drinks (once they figured out what we were drinking) and they made our reservations for anything we wanted to do. The only difference I saw was that the butler service was waiting on you outside.. So if you wanted a drink ad you were laying on the beach you never had to get up. But at the grande the bars are by no means far away.
