When are you planning on sending out your save the dates? The reason i'm asking is because everyone says 8-9 months before but thats the holiday time for us. I dont want to send them out along with all the christmas cards and holiday cards because the STDs might get lost in the mess. I was thinking of sending them out in mid-january. what do you think?

Not an August bride but I feel like doing it in the beginning to middle of January would be fine. By then all the Christmas cards have been 'put away' and they wont misplace it!

After a family party this weekend we had a lot of pressure, saying when are you sending them?!!! And everyone plans vacations in august and blah blah blah, so we decided we will send them out a year in advance, even though everyone knows when and where! Also ru doing magnets? or just postcards?

I am giving mine out at the e-party which is Aug 1, so a year in advance. I decided i am not mailing it to everyone invited bc i have not decided on my exact invite list, but i know everyone at the e-party will obviously be at the wedding as well (closest friends and immediate family).

I was gonna send them out right after my eparty in July, but i feel like thats too soon. Most people already know the date anyway. I was gonna hand it to people as part of the favor at the eparty, but a lot of my out of town guests are coming to the eparty. STDs are kinda for those out of town guests......
I just don't want to do it too soon, but not too late either.

I am most likely taking my e-pics in October and will be using them for the STD so I won't be able to send them out a year in advance but I'm hoping for some time in November before all the holiday craziness.
