August 2013 HELP!

August 2013 HELP!

Help! We are currently booked at the Venetian Yacht Club, but having second thoughts because of all the damage!! We've previously looked at Chateau La Mer, Bridgeview, and Thatched Cottage. Chateau-didn't like the decor, Bridgeview-too pricey for a Saturday night, Thatched-just want't impressed overall compared to the VYC.

Now that we are reconsidering our venues, we have appointements for Woodbury County Club and the Inn at New Hyde Park. Considering going to see the Watermill and possibly going back to Bridgeview to see if any Fridays are open/they have any Saturday wiggle room now that it's closer to the date. We are quote at 100++ at VYC with around 200-215 people on a Saturday night. Any help (quotes, reviews, etc.) would be so appreciated.

I'm getting married at Leonard's of Great Neck and my brother is getting married at Russo's on the bay in August. Leonard's was more than what FH and I were thinking of paying but they give you so much food. They said August was cheaper as everyone is getting married in the fall now. I can FM you details if you want.

August 2013 HELP!

VYC may be able to get their act together by August. If you think about it they are going to have so many upcoming weddings this Spring and Summer so I imagine they will be good to go and possibly even better than ever come August. I would def keep my options open too but, talk to your BM hopefully you don't need to change

August 2013 HELP!

I am getting married at the VYC. I was there and also took pictures. I spoke with both Toni and Daisy and they both said VYC would beup and running by Jan 15th. The damage they sustained was the back porch, some landscaping and the basement where the bridal suit and offices flooded but they are redoing it. The rooms are perfectly fine and they didnt even have one window break. If you like the VYC I would go with them.
