August Brides

We have all of our major vendors except a florist. We picked out our invitations, wedding bands, unity candle, cake topper, card box and cake knife/server. My dress and the bridesmaids dresses are ordered (MOH still needs a dress). I have my DOJ and my veil and tiara are ordered. Hotel blocks are set up for oot guests. We completed precana.
I feel like I have to get back into planning I have not done much since the holidays either.

god you guys make me feel so far behind. Were Aug 1st.. We have dress done , dj.. thats it .
This week were looking to book photo, limos, and florist ...

All of our major vendors are booked. RH, Photo, Video, DJ/Band, Florist, Limo. We can't do anything more with them until it gets closer though. We booked our hotel room for that night but didn't block any rooms yet. Not sure if we will. My mom and I ordered our gowns and both are in already. Still need to pick out BM dresses and tux's. Church precana is complete... just have to go over readings and music, etc. DIY projects still need to be done (programs, menus, place cards, bathroom baskets). Still need to buy guestbook and cardbox, gifts and register, pick out invitations and favors. I have my day of necklace but need to pick out the rest, plus my slip, veil, headpiece and shoes. Also need to book rehearsal dinner restaurant, hair and makeup. So... I guess half of the planning is done, with the other half left to do. I was waiting for the holidays to pass and now that they have I am going to try to do something each week. Today I bought my satin slippers in case my feet ache at the end of the night. I already have my white getting ready zip up and capris with flip flops. And I have one new bathing suit for the HM. I'd like to go shopping for more new clothing for the both of us.

ETA: Still need unity candle, cake topper, toasting flutes, cake serving set and wedding rings too!

All major vendors are booked. I'm in the middle of doing hair and makeup trials and hope to book someone soon.

Still need to book limos, order the invites and BM dresses. Plus I have some DIY stuff that needs to get done: candle table numbers, programs, menus and card box. Still need shoes, veil, tiara and DOJ. There's a whole bunch of other stuff I need to get done but thats all I can remember right now.

looks like more than it feels. I feel like i have sooo much more to do!

I have dj, photo, video, hair, make up, invites, officiant, ring pillow, fg basket, toating flutes, aisle runner, dress, veil, headband, BM dresses, FG dress, florist, programs, registered, undies,and necklace done.


Still need SHOES, Chaircovers, table clothes, tuxes, favors, bracelet, earrings, Honeymoon, Card Box, rings.


I can't think of anything else right now.

booked all majors excepts flowers and hair/makeup... limos were arent booking

ordered invites, got DOJ, shoes, dress, day of hoodie and undies...got placecard frames, and table frames, sand ceremony vase, flower for hair, HM and flights booked

still working on DIYing table names, cardbox, going BM dress shopping this weekend

mine are being printed and assembled in a week.. but this can vary depending on who you use

I have the church, band, photographer, videographer, florist, dress, limos, and cake through my RH. My invitations are in progress.

We are getting bm dresses next weekend. I need to get my veil, the MOB dress, hair and makeup appts, RD, favors. Still tons to do.

And of course finalize decisions with all my vendors.

How far along are you august brides in planning? The holidays totally threw me off track i need some motivation!

I know exactly how you feel, I am so overwhelmed with all that I haven't done, and because of that, I have no motivation!
My biggest issue is picking out the BM dresses! I haven't found anything I'm in love with yet. Until I do this, I don't want to do florist or invites bc of coloring issues. I also need to get a band asap (getting to the damn music showcases has been so hard)

Things Ive done include:
RH booked
My dress and veil bought
Started a registry
Photog/video booked
started booking honeymoon
wedding bands bought

In any event, we will get everything done, so happy planning!
