August Brides

Hi Girls, I wish I had time to get on here more. I feel like I am getting so overwhelmed and would love to here how all the other August girls are coming along. What does everyone have left to do? I feel like I still have so many things to cover and I'm nervous I will forget something! TIA

I have soooooo much to do still. I'm sure you're fine :)

I have the following that I NEED to do:

dj
flowers
invites
send out STDs (doing it this week/or next)
limos
favors (I know we're going to get Trader Joe's wine)
gifts for bridal party
gifts for parents
Bpics for FH (July 24)
gotta buy FH cufflinks
honeymoon
my girls have to order/get measured for their dresses (picked out the dress though)
tuxes for FH and GM
RD
rings
and then a million other little things

i have a million things also ... don't worry though - somehow, everything will be done by august for us all

i'm using the LIW wedding timeline (click My Wedding, then Timeline) to see what i need to do / get / buy ... bleh, there's A LOT of un-checked items there

My focus right now is on trying to find a gown, so this week and the next two weeks I am trying to hustle to different bridal salons and then make a decision so I can order something before the end of Feb. I am so behind and every place is making me feel so guilty for not buying my gown earlier. I didn't know how much time it took to order!! I just got engaged in mid-November and with november and december being full of holidays and such, I didn't get around to it until now.

I still also need ceremony musicians, a photographer, a florist... etc... argh!

I booked my venue for the ceremony and reception.
I have found my rabbi, now we just need to meet in Feb.
I booked my DJ.
I have registered.
I found the MOH and BM dresses, now they just need to order them.

So... some things are coming along.

Hi girls! so i'm totally brank spankin' new to LIWeddings (my sister just raved and raved about how much this helped her when she was planning her wedding) :) i'm starting to get overwhelmed with all the planning now. it was pretty much smooth sailing so far, but now that the holidays are over, everyone keeps telling me how it's gonna fly by and the wedding will be here before we know it! i still have so much to do! we're getting married up in Saratoga so it's making the planning that much harder now that we're down to the nitty gritty and have to make final decisions on things.

does anyone have hair and make up people yet?? that's what i'm working on now - i TOTALLY waited until the very last minute and now i'm afraid all the good ones will be booked! i know my sister had her people booked like a year in advance and they were PHENOMENAL! i would totally be willing to hire someone down here since it'll be easier come trials time and then just pay to have them travel up to Saratoga for the wedding

I still have to:

meet with florist
book limo
do favors (music cd's)
get tuxes
buy groomsmen's gifts
get MOH to buy her freakin dress!!

Just pace yourself and don't get overwhelmed.

Just remembered have to pick invites and finish registry!!
