august brides HELP

did you get a lot of no's to your invitations? My wedding is next year and I am worried. SHoud I send out save the dates and when?

I'm getting married next Sunday, August 10th. I sent out STD magnets I think in January and then sent my invitations out in June. Practically everyone responded Yes, because they already had the date planned on their calendar. I think it's a very good idea to send out STD Magnets. Everyone told me that is was a great idea to do the magnets this way they always see it on the frig. We got a some no's but it's expected, but probably not as many if you don't send those STD's.

We got married last August 9th. We only got a couple of no's and they were from people that we didn't think were going to come anyway.

Edited to say that we did not send a save the date card.

We are getting married 8/29 which is the Friday of Labor day weekend. We sent out save the dates with our Christmas cards and still got lots of no's. We invited 209 and have 145 coming.

It can't hurt to send them out
