August brides - what are you upto?

What are you all working on right now? After the rush of the vendors being done I feel like I'm not doing all that much. Am I missing anything?

honestly, no. i haven't been working on much of anything (a lot of that is due to some family matters, but also just because i don't feel like i have much to do right now).

i did all the major stuff - gown, officiant, dj, photographer, florist, MUA, etc. i'm going to order my invites from WPD in march or april.

i think we're in good shape.

I'm working on getting the tuxes for FH and the groomsmen, FH's wedding band and our DIY stuff (table numbers, card box, guestbook, etc.). We also finalized our ceremony music and we have pre cana this weekend.

All my big vendors are booked. The things I'm looking to get done in the next few weeks are to order my invitations and church programs, register, and I want to start picking out wedding bands (so I have an idea of cost). All nothing major I feel like we are gonna have a break from the major planning stuff for a bit and then we are going to have tons to do closer to the wedding :-/

that's me exactly! I'm trying to finish all DIY things and I've have finished almost all my gifts for BP and parents.. I'm mostly focused on saving saving saving and waiting for my dress to come in :)

I think I'm ok too. We are doing tuxes in a week when we're off from work. And I'm gonna start booking some hair trials. I'm trying to decide on invites I like, there are just too many I think are nice, lol. Besides that, its just little things. hair clips, OOT bags, shoes, some gifts. But pretty much all of the majors are DONE and I'm so happy about that. The rest I'll do here and there and pray I didn't forget anything!

my dress came in earlier than i thought so i'm going to visit it and try it on tomorrow! FH and i went to MW and Jos. A Bank to look at some tux/suit rentals. we still can't make a decision on that. (who knew it would be so difficult).

have a photographer payment due next week.

omg YOU GUYS JUST freaked ME OUT :*( i HAVE LIKE NOTHING!!! We still can't find a ceremony site that works for us, still have no photo/vid or ANYTHING else. I said yes to my dress , we set the date at the venue and we picked our DJ and need to actually give him the initial deposit and other than that- nothing. I'm a giant stressball that cries every 10 minutes.

Don't stress just do things one at a time and it will get done fast. Your top 3 are really photographer/vid, limo and florist. Start there

Don't stress out too much. You have 6 months. I would focus on the big vendors first (florist, photographer and videographer). After you get those done you can start working on the details. No worries

Over the long weekend I actually finally got back into the wedding planning groove. FH and I bought our wedding rings and picked out suits for the guys.

Next on our to do list is the honeymoon, but we just can't seem to narrow it down! Not a bad problem to have I suppose lol

Def don't stress. I only did one vendor at a time. Def go with photo and video if you're getting video. Florists are easy I found. I just went to 2 that are pretty popular on here. They both quoted me within $100 of each other, so I picked the one I thought better understood what I wanted. Only went for one makeup trial and booked on the spot. Video I did mainly thru emails. Got quotes via email, and watched samples of all their work on Vimeo. Only met with the 2 we had narrowed it down to, both on the same day. I still haven't done hair or limos yet. It will get done. Just do one at a time and before you know it, you'll be almost do the with the biggies.
