Hey girls, so I just bought my wedding dress at RK Bridal and their max alteration cap is 450. Is that high? I have no idea what average alteration costs are. I haven't booked an alteration appt yet though they are getting full very well in advance, though 450 sounds pretty high.
Any insight is appreciated!

My alterations will be done at Kleinfelds and I remember my mom telling me she paid $695 I think. I thought that was too high, but she told me months later, and I don't think we can get a refund and shop around now :(

I think mine is like $150 cap for the hem and $250 cap for the French bustle ($150 for regular bustle). I may be slightly off but it's something close to that so that seems like a fair cap

It's a separate charge to bustle the train of your dress up.

My alterations including bustle were capped at $400. It's going to vary depending on how much you need done and how complex your dress is. Mine has a lace overlay and beading on it and all that would need to be removed prior to alterations.

I was a bridesmaid in September and had to have the top taken in in a halter style satin/chiffon dress and that cost me like $130 if that helps lol.....that was just to have the top taken in and cups added to the dress
