Ok, I will be looking at bands soon and we are trying to get an idea of general price ranges for bands. I know that a DJ would be cheaper but we kind of have our hearts set on a band and we want to know if we will be able to afford one. Can you all tell me either what you paid for your band or what the price ranges of the bands you looked at were? Thanks!

I think the average price range is $3000 to $5000.

I would say the median is more like $5K-$7K.

I also looked into bands but decided on a DJ because it was so much cheaper. I think they are about 5k+.

We are paying 5k for 6 piece band, and a tri for the reception as well at the trio plus a stolling violin player during the cocktail hour.

They range from $3000. and up.But the more you spend the better band you will get.I heard a band at a bridal showcase called nightflight,they were great.But i wanted a DJ instead.Good luck in your planning.

I disagree on the more $$ a band costs the better the band. I recently went to a wedding (upstate) where the band cost $6k and they were awful!!!

I am using Body Heat. They are great. They are a bit pricey. They are actually $7200, but well well worth it!
