oh wow! someone in my party was really shocked that it cost $100 to take the dress in... but I guess thats within the range.

so cap means you won't pay over that amount? Does it usually reach that amount? Or do the bridal salons keep it lower?

Capping it means that they won't pay more than that amount. It depends on what alterations need to be done...if it just needs to be hemmed it might not be more than $20-$40...if it needs to be taken in as well that will be more.
My girls are capped at $70 and we are ordering from Lillettes of Baldwin.

Cost me $90 for alterations of my BM dress in my brother wedding last year.

my girls' alterations are capped at $75, and in the past i have paid $75 or less depending on the amt of altering that had to be done
