I paid $4.50 per bottle but for the big bottles 750ml. Go to your local liquor stores and see who will give you the best price, thats what Idid. I went to 3 places and went with the one who worked with me the most.

I havent actually began price shopping yet, but i was going to do the same thing espo suggested, go to our local liquor stores that we frequent and see what they will do for us. Also, I heard bottles and cases in Huntington is good.
As for packaging, I bought organza wine bags that i will be putting them in and hanging a favor tag with our monogram around the neck.

is there a big wine place in mineola or new hyde park. My MOH had told me there was a huge wine place with great prices by her job and its around that area. I'll try to find out the name. But i think they usually sell wine for less. That would be a good place to look. She told me about it when I looked and said i was gonna wait until I heard back from the 3 stores i went to and i just went with 1 of them since i was running out of time and was the closest. But maybe somebody will know what i am talking about and post the name of the place lol

I havent decided on the actual wine yet but I have found the little bottles aren't cheap.....for the same price you can get full bottles.

If you decide to go with regular-sized bottles, Bottle Bargains in Northport and Bottles & Cases in Huntington often run specials for certain wines where you buy a case you get half a case for free. Can save you hundreds....

Re: Average Cost for Wine Favors
My friend told me to go through Pop's Wines in Island Park. I have been e-mailing back and forth with them. They have been very nice. I got a quote for about 6.00 a bottle but it is for a very good Argentine malbec. My FH is Argentinean and of course it has to be a wine from there..lol I will ask around! Thanks!

I'm not doing them, but a girl I worked with did them and they were actually super cheap. She bought a bunch of wine (2 Buck Chuck) from Trader Joe's so it was about $2 each. She said she actually got them on sale so they were only about $1 each bottle for a full bottle. Then she ordered special labels from the printer w/their dates and names to put over the bottle's labels so I think you can do it for very cheap. HTH!

Go to a wholesale liquor store.. They're all over the city.. You'll get great prices there and they really work with you.. if you're up for the trip, go into Jersey.. Liquor is dirt cheap there.. Do some internet research and find out where's best. I did wine favors for my SIL's 40th bday last year and went into Jersey for them.

Re: Average Cost for Wine Favors
I am doing wine favors for my wedding (Henessy small bottle) wrap in white tulle with pink personalized ribbon. Total cost of the favor including ribbon & tulle is $3.50. I did a lot of research for cheap wine and end up with a liquor store in Jersey.

hmmmm... any word on this place? I know a place in NHP that has good prices, but its not like a *huge* place, but tends to be less pricey than the smaller ones in my town (great neck). its in a little shopping center on NHP road and union i think?

Re: Average Cost for Wine Favors
We did mini bottles of prosecco (Italian champagne) for our engagement party gifts. It cost is $4 per bottle and we wrapped them with a gold ribbon around the top and a poem written about sharing our joy and happiness even after the party was over. Everyone loved it, if ur interested in the poem, FM me ill tell u it!
