What is the average cost of invitations? I found DIY ones that I like for $3.25 a set. Isn't that alot for DIY? Not even just putting them together- I'd have to get them printed myself too.

We paid 400 for our invitations and we only needed 75

I really like the ones you have pictured! I did DIY pocketfolds & here's my cost breakdown...
I didn't do them myself to save $ necessarily...i did it because I wanted to do a custom design...
1.) $1.60/each - pocketfolds (cornflower blue-metallic) from cardsandpockets.com 2.) $0.40/each- rsvp envelopes including printing return address 3.) $0.40/each- metallic silver mailing envelopes from actionenvelope.com 4.) $0.04/per sheet of white card stock bought at Staples ------------------------ about $2.52 per invite give or take a few cents...that is just materials...then add in all the time setting up art, printing, cutting and assembling

I think that does seem like a lot for DIY. Invites are just expensive no matter what I think!

That's CRAZY expensive for that particular invite. Pocketfolds are cheaper than that, and they start around $2for the pocketfold.
