Average Joe

Did anyone watch this ? It was soooo Funny--
I hate to get into another TV show -- but I think I have to see what happens on this !

I watched it too!!! Her face was PRICELESS when the men started coming out of the limo bus!!

I think it's definitely going to be interesting.

What do you think the surprise is going to be?? I think it's going to be a bunch of hottie hunks to stir things up.

That is exactly what I think -- or perhaps the hot guy in the beginning that came out of the limo. I am sorry -- but I do not consider half of those guys average.... They were down right nerdy !!

I think it will be awful if they bring in hotties...its toying too much with people's feelings...

I think they're doing this to humiliate those guys, and I think it's aweful. I think the cameras will work to make them seem as undesirable as possible. Although I admit it would be interesting to see what happens and I can see why others will watch, I have to pass on this one out of principle.

I saw a special on Bravo - The Reality of Reality Shows. These applicants know what they are getting into and do so willingly hoping for their 15 minutes of fame.

AND...some of them are PAID large sums of money to do it...so, money talks...BS walks...

Personally, I didn't even find the first guy that came out of the limo to be 'average'...he was ugly, too! With his greasy curls and crooked teeth...ew!

How's this for funny.... my FH is the one who insisted we watch it!! He's built like a teddy bear and every time we watch anyof the other reality shows (Real World, the Bachelor) he complains about 'where's the fat guy?'!

So he's loving this one!!!!

I watched it and agree that most of them are below 'average'. I do give that girl a lot of credit though for being gracious and not making faces when they came out of the bus.

And some of them regardless of looks, really didn't have good personalities so I don't know why they were picked...

You know who I thought was nice? That nerdy guy with the glasses who washed out the other guy's shirt after he got egged. He wore the brown jacket. I can't remember his name. But he seems like he has such a heart of gold.

Let's face it, we are all going to age, and guys are no exception. Maybe they'll put on a few pounds, lose their hair, and whatever else. It happens to everyone eventually. And what you are left with is that person's heart and mind. Sure, a hottie is great IF he's got the heart and mind to match.

kmcwed, I believe his name is Dennis. Did you see the really big guy that was too big for the photo booth?? His mother is on one of the reality tv boards that I visit. His name is Craig.

I dont know what they will do to stir things up, Maybe they will put some average girls on the show and see if the guys will pick them over the original girl.

AS for Average Joe 2, I heard they already filmed the second installment, I just dont know if it is going to be an Average Joe or an Average Jane....yet.

I'm glad someone started this conversation. I think it's an awful concept...So mean! However it's been my idea for a while...Most of the population would be considered by televtion standards to be 'average'...And thats not a bad thing at all!!! Like KMCWED said...If we're lucky...We're all going to age...All the hotties of today included...
But of course I'm drawn into it anyway.

I thought I was over the reality tv bug...but I'm kinda liking this one...maybe because they are more 'real' than the pretty boys that usually do these shows.....but I do like Kathy Griffin...

I thought it was actually really funny, especially the girl's expression on her face when they came off the bus, but I'm desperate for a new reality TV show to get obessed with so what do I know!
