I have three...I had a very strict, family only rule..it was just a personal choice I made.

Edited to add that I will also have 2 flower girls.

So 7 plus MOH isn't alot and if my friend who was mean about me being engaged prior to her comes around it will be 8 plus a MOH!

How long off do I hold off on asking her?

8 plus flowergirl - I would not say this is average though,
I would think 6 is more average.
